DAY 01

ARRIVAL IN INDIA

DAY 02

DELHI

After breakfast explore Old Delhi and New Delhi. Old Delhi is one of the best places to observe the great colossal of culture and social convergence of old and new. Here you will explore is the largest mosque in India the Jama Masjid, which can house some 20,000 worshipers at any one time. Later move to The Raj Ghat, the father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi memorials. New Delhi is quite different to Old Delhi designed in 1911 by Edwin Lutyens British architecture. The city is divided by broad avenues and lined with trees. As you set your eyes on the next site, you will be amazed. It is the tallest free standing tower in the world 72.5 meter (238 feet). This UNESCO world heritage site is none other than Qutub Minar with a fantastic indo-Islamic architecture. You will be also exploring many a fascinating sights such as a garden setting Humayun’s tomb (1586) a bright testament to the brilliant craftsmanship of the Mughal architect and their creativity. You will continue your discoveries with a drive through the Embassy area the Government buildings (1921-1930) pass the official home of India’s President Rashtrapati Bhawan, parliament building and the majestic India gate- a powerful tribute to our brave soldiers. DAY 03

AGRA

After eating a hearty breakfast you will be taken to the former capital of the great Mughal Empire Agra. Magnificent and historic buildings along with the impressive sandstone Red Fort and without doubt the “crown of palaces” the white-marbled Taj Mahal are all prized features of this city. We check into our hotel for a short break and in the afternoon take a guided tour of Agra. We will first visit the mammoth Red Fort of Agra which was constructed by Emperor Akbar on the Yumana riverbanks with red sand stone and was then elaborated by his grandson Shah Jahan, in white marble. Red fort a former city, housing mosques, palaces and halls all surrounded by walls 20m high is a UNESCO World Heritage site. A stroll around the complex will reveal wonderfully designed rooms like the public hall of audience Diwan-I-Am and the private hall of audience Diwan-I-Khas You will also hear and learn about the detailed Islamic and Hindu designed 16th-century Agra Fort. In the afternoon we take the long awaited trip to an Indian and world landmark and the most popularly known building on earth and what must certainly be the greatest demonstration of love ever built – the Taj Mahal. This wonder of the world was constructed by Emperor Shah Jahan to memorialize his beloved wife Mumtaz and as a sign of his eternal love to her. It was built of marble and was decorated with some of the most precious stones and took 20,000 men for labor and some 22 years to build at a cost of about 3 million rupees then, which is about $70 million today. As described by Rudyard Kipling it is ‘the embodiment of all things pure’. Filigree, calligraphy, the inlay and such detailed workmanship is mind boggling and jaw-dropping. You will stand in awe! DAY 04

JAIPUR

After breakfast drive to Jaipur enroute stopping at the deserted ghost city of Fatehpur sikri. Once the capital of Mughals for 10 years was built by Mughal Emperor Akbar the great in 16th century. A perfect city with unique architectural opulence that was divided into religious and secular parts, all in a constructive style with well sculpted buildings. Continue drive to Jaipur. The evening will be at your leisure. OVERNIGHT STAY IN JAIPUR.
DAY 05

JAIPUR

After breakfast visit AMER FORT- The construction of Amber fort was started in 1592 AD by Raja Man Singh and it was further expanded by successive rulers for nearly 200 years. The fort is a fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture. Amber fort depicts true royal lifestyle of the Rajputs. The interior are superbly decorated with mirror work, paintings and carvings. Further visit The Astronomical observatory of Maharaj Sawai Jai Sing II. JANTAR MANTAR means instrument for calculation. The observatory was built in 1716 A.D and contains 15 astronomical instrument complexes, one remain unfinished, of which 6 function with solar lithe and 11 by Lunar and stellar reflection. Also visit CITY PALACE, Built between 1729 and 1732, and Located in the epicentre of the Pink city Jaipur. The architecture style is based on a fusion of Rajput and Mughal architecture. DAY 06

JODHPUR

Today an interesting drive through increasingly varied scenery takes us to Blue City Jodhpur, a town at the edge of the mighty Thar Desert. You arrive Jodhpur and explore majestic Mehrangarh fort, a palace that might have been built by Titans and coloured by the morning Sun. Towering high above the city of Jodhpur stands proud and Chiselled out of a rock. After visiting the fort, head down the hill towards town to see the other popular attraction Jaswant Thada. You will get the great views of Jodhpur as we drive along the hill. Overnight stay in Jodhpur.
DAY 07

UDAIPUR

After breakfast drive to Udaipur – City of lakes. En route visit famous Jain temples of Ranakpur. Ranakpur Temple: Beautiful sculptured Jain temples mark the glory of this renowned place. Marked as one of the five holy places for the Jain community, these were created in the 15 the century. The central Chaumukha [four faced temple] is dedicated to Adinathji the temple is an astounding creation with 29 halls and 1,444 pillars all distinctly carved and no two being alike is an amazing evidence of the genius sense of architecture that enhances the charm of the place. Every temple has this conceivable surface carved with equal delicacy. Overall Ranakpur is known as ' The tranquil pilgrimage town. Continue drive to Udaipur. Overnight stay in Udaipur. (Ranakpur Temple is open from 12PM to 5 PM)
DAY 08

UDAIPUR

Udaipur is often referred to as the “Venice of the East” and the “City of lakes” Today you start your day with the visit of star attraction of Udaipur City Palace, the largest palace in Rajasthan, covering an area of 5 acres, actually a complex of several palaces built by 22 maharanas over a period of four centuries. After visiting City palace we will also visit the largest Hindu temple in Udaipur, dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the Lord of the Universe. Its intricately carved pillars and beautiful sculptures are fine examples of Indo-Aryan architecture. Later we will enjoy a most scenic boat ride at Pichola Lake at sunset. After the beautiful boat ride you will go to a gorgeous 18th-century haveli to experience the best Rajasthani folk dance show. Overnight stay in Udaipur
DAY 09

DEPARTURE UDAIPUR AIRPORT

In time transfer to the airport to board flight for onward Journey.
